God, I think about this bowl all. the. time. In the early Slush Club days, we used to give away seconds to friends that visited our apartment and expressed genuine interest in what we were (are) doing. One day, we were hosting a group that included our friend Joe and he fell for this pattern. Hard. We had a second on the shelves—it had some small cracking on the lip—and we had kept it out of inventory for the inevitable time that we do a blowout seconds sale and offer up all these beautifully flawed prototypes. 

We gifted that bowl to Joe and he was pumped. He transported it back to LA where he promptly made us a beautiful drawing of him and that bowl entwined in a cosmic dance as a thank you.  

I like to think that he and that bowl continue to grow ever-closer in their love. Can you love a bowl? Yeah, I think so.
