A natural earth pigment that is lightfast and semi-transparent with slight texture. Umbers are brown or reddish-brown natural earth colors. This pigment consist of iron oxide and manganese oxide and in it's natural form is raw umber. After the pigment is heated, the color becomes darker and richer, transforming into burnt umber.
Half Pans contain around 2ml of paint and are approximately 3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8" deep.
