Since the beginning of Tacoma Art Museum’s Dia de los Muertos celebration fifteen years ago, our patrons have looked forward to seeing what the latest t-shirt will look like. We’ve been lucky enough to partner with some truly talented artists over the years. The result has been an iconic staple in the community, one that celebrates not only the museum’s status as a welcoming place in our city for people from all walks of life; but, more importantly, that commemorates the joy and honor and remembrance that thousands of people take part in each year when they gather to celebrate their loved ones. The Tacoma Art Museum store is proud to announce this year’s design, lovingly crafted by Sam Ortiz. Starting on Sunday, November 3, pick up your very own Dia de los Muertos celebration t-shirt for $20 or tote bag for $15. If you’ve ever been to the celebration, you know that quantities are extremely limited and they sell out quickly so be sure to pick yours out soon.
While you’re visiting the museum shop, be sure to pick up a TAM Mystery Bag for only $20. Each bag contains up to seven items and is valued between $50 and $150! Quantities for these surprise gifts are limited, as well. These bags are a great way to get a jump-start on your holiday shopping (or just to treat yourself).
