The Hallie Ford Museum of Art and Tacoma Art Museum jointly present the exhibition The Romantic Vision of Michael Brophy and the accompanying catalogue of this gifted artist. The collaboration came about naturally, as both museums acknowledge the important contribution that artists who live in the region bring to their communities. Brophy is just one such example as he carefully engages the social and political forces reshaping the national dialogues now defining environmental preservation and sustainability. This catalogue seeks to communicate the scope and power of the artist’s vision.
Published in conjunction with The Romantic Vision of Michael Brophy, a collaborative project of Tacoma Art Museum and Hallie Ford Museum of Art, Willamette University. At Tacoma Art Museum, it takes part in the Northwest Perspective Series of one-person exhibitions devoted to artists of the region. The exhibition appeared from October 8, 2005 through January 1, 2006 at Tacoma Art Museum.
